Sunrise Medical/Dental Mission sponsored by CARIS foundation and BandS Ministries headed by Dr. John Bailey treated 2,302 patients in three days last week, January 11-14. The Medical Action Relief Counseling and Healing (MARCH) under the leadership of Chito Cusi, World Bible School (WBS) under the coordinatorship of Alex Coloma and Sharon Gonzales, local doctors, preachers from all over the Philippines, SCC BOT and volunteers participated in the event. The first tubal ligation under local anesthesia was done in a medical mission by Dr. Josie Lopez with Dr. Banta(Filipino-American anesthesiologist)when she discovered that an indigent patient and a wife of SCC worker has 11 children. Relief efforts were also done by SCC BARE students on a congregation affected by flooding from days of training through the efforts of Salvador who was lying that time in the Hospital. The first patient of the three day medical/dental mission is Salvador. For the first time after months and years of hard work for the Lord's kingdom, he was put to a complete bed rest. His ruptured appendix was removed after complaining of abdominal pain for three days without medications or consulted to a doctor.Salvador is a very good man and was touched by the love of the brethren who visited him in the hospital. He is now in Cebu recovering and we need your prayers and encouragements for his full recovery.God is good to those who love him.

Michelle Chakiton is now a member of Centrepoint Church of Christ after a year of studying God's word through WBS Courses. She's 26 years old with 2 kids and resides at no. 11 H Upper P. Burgos St. Baguio City. She meet WBS through a flyer given to her by a lady upon walking at overpass near malcom square. She texted the number on the flyer and submit her full name and address. She was enrolled first via intenet and her teacher was Elizabeth Foster, She is now on her lesson 6. Few months later, she received WBS lessons from Lee Pennigton via postal mail. Now, she's done with Lesson 4 Faith in Christ and Lesson 5 Repentance. At present, she owns a computer shop at trancoville and worship every sunday at Centrepoint.

April 2004 when Lailani Candelario together with her best friend Arlynne Estrella Haight met World Bible School through a simple flyer handed by WBS volunteer Bro. Jeff Libatique and coordinator Bro. Alex Coloma. They were at that time sitting in Burnham Park waiting for a friend when the said volunteers approached them and introduced World Bible School. At first, the two did not want to seriously listen to what the volunteers were telling them, they were actually resistant and reluctant.  But the WBS volunteers did not stop encouraging them to try WBS until they finally enrolled thinking that would be the last time to see them but it was not. The next day, Bro. Samuel Seridio went to their place and started to evangelize them, shared the gospel and its importance to mankind. After three long months of Bible sharing, they then decided to be immersed to Christ as an evidence of their faith. It was because of that simple WBS flyer that two souls were brought back to Christ. It was because of that flyer that the two ladies were given a chance and hope for salvation.
